Message from Strathpine's coordinator

We welcome your enquiry about the Strathpine group.

My name is Ray and I coordinate the weekly Wednesday night meetings at the Strathpine Group which meets at the Betty Blake Building which is a low set building behind the 2 storey brick Pine Rivers Neighbourhood Centre at 730 Gympie Road, Lawnton, on the corner of Francis Road.

Please arrive by 6.50pm to start at 7pm and we finish at 9.10pm.

There is off street parking from Francis Road. If you are heading north through Strathpine on Gympie Road, turn left into Francis Road which is just before the Super Cheap building with lighted sign on your right. It you are heading south through Petrie on Gympie Road, turn right into Francis Road which is the first street after the Super Cheap building with lighted sign on your left.

If you like to know more please send me your telephone number so I can ring you between 7pm and 8pm. My phone number is 0417 645 352.

Message to (closed) Sunshine Coast group

The Sunshine Coast TOUGHLOVE Group has done a wonderful job over the last 18 months of supporting local parents to find and implement new and effective ways of dealing with unacceptable teen behaviour.

Unfortunately the group has had to close its doors (temporarily, we hope). The group's volunteer coordinators have reluctantly retired, due to changes in their circumstances. The group has been unable to find a new coordinator so far and cannot function without one.

If other Sunshine Coast parents are interested in re-establishing this group, and benefiting from the support of the TOUGHLOVE Program, they should contact the TOUGHLOVE Qld State Coordinator by email info@qld.toughlove.org.au,  or phone 07 3856 3211 and leave a message.  It just takes one or two parents, willing to commit a few hours per week, to get the ball rolling again. Parents helping themselves and each other is the cornerstone of the TOUGHLOVE Program in action.
